Rivington Hall Barn Wedding Photography | Jon & Laura
Wedding Photography at Rivington Barn
It was a beautiful spring day when I had the pleasure of photographing Jon and Laura’s wedding at Rivington Hall Barn. Set in the stunning Lancashire countryside, this historic Grade II listed building is quite a spectacle. The barn likely dates back to the 12th Century and was restored in 1905. With its landscaped gardens and huge saxon beams, it is an ideal setting for a wedding. I have been fortunate enough to shoot a number of weddings at this venue and again, this one did not disappoint.
Stunning Lancashire countryside
After a lot of fun and laughter filled bridal and groom preparation photographs, the wedding party headed to St. Peter’s Church in Belmont for the wedding ceremony. The church is in a truly breathtaking location set amongst the rolling hills.
We were blessed with good weather which allowed for lots of photo opportunities in the stunning rural surroundings. When the bridal party got up at the front of the church to sing a rendition of ‘I Will Follow Him’ it was a complete surprise to Jon and Laura. It was something they had planned in secret. A song close to Laura’s heart it really did give me goose bumps too! I loved every minute of this Rivington Barn Wedding.
A magical setting
The interior of Rivington Hall Barn is spectacular and had been decorated beautifully for Jon and Laura’s reception. Full of twinkling fairy lights, it was a magical setting to behold in its cavernous interior. Filled with flowers and plants, the barn had a very natural feeling which perfectly complemented its rugged rural surroundings.
