Kind Words

“Not sure we can put all our thanks into one small card, because we are so grateful for the fantastic shots that you got on our AMAZING wedding day and on the fun pre-shoot in Southport too. You’re such a lovely guy and we really loved working with you, thank you for putting us at such ease, it really did enable you to truly capture the enormous amount of fun that we all had all day! Everyone’s first reaction to the photos is ‘look how fun it was and how happy everyone is!’ Thank you also for your patience in capturing Skip (their dog) enjoying some time with us, he loved it! Anyway just thank you, thank you, thank you, our photographs are everything we could have wished for!” Emma & Rob

“We absolutely love our pictures. Reminds us of little bits from the whole day and tells a story. Surprisingly we actually like some of ourselves which is definitely an achievement haha. Thank you so so so much! Best photographer EVER!” Taryn & Ryan

“We chose to book with Mike after seeing his work from a friend’s wedding. There was no comparison, the images were mesmerising. We felt it was important that we chose someone who wasn’t focused on ‘posed’ photographs, as this wasn’t something we were both comfortable with. We absolutely adore how natural the photos are and his clever use of light. Book with Mike if you want the most down-to-earth, unassuming, friendly photographer, you’ll probably ever meet- we had so much positive feedback from guests. He’s also more than capable at navigating different situations on the day, as they arise, without compromising the finished product.” Beulah & Harvey

“Personally we couldn’t of been any happier with how you handled our day. We wanted a discreet, and relaxed approach to our photos which would tell the story of our day through the photos – something we thought you nailed!!” Dale & Charlotte

“Thank you so much for all you did on our wedding day! We couldn’t have asked for anything more, and the photos speak for themselves, they are stunning! We had a great time with you on the day and were able to relax and enjoy, which definitely shows in the photos!” Courtney & Andy

“I found Mike’s photos on a wedding blog and absolutely loved how they captured special, spontaneous moments. I knew it was fate when I contacted him and realised he lived 5 minutes round the corner from us! As soon as we met Mike he put us immediately at ease and we knew he’d be able to capture our day perfectly (without loads of standing around posing which is so not us) Mike was a brilliant, warm presence on the day but also had the ability to capture really personal moments almost without you realising he was there. We found ourselves saying ‘how did he get that!?’ when looking back through the album. I hoped to have one nice photo of us I could put in a frame but we just have so many beautiful ones to choose from.” Janelle & Tom

“We cannot thank Mike enough for his skills on our day. It was important to us that our photographer wasn’t intrusive and that people felt comfortable around him. We were drawn to Mike’s stand at the Northwest Wedding Show as it stood out from the many other photographers there and after meeting Mike and his lovely husband we knew straight away that he was our guy! Anyone who puts that much attention to detail and passion into their presentation gets a thumbs up from me! Our guests have given nothing but praise about Mike and I quote, “the photographer was brill because he blended in, wasn’t intrusive and got some incredible shots that really captured the atmosphere of the day” Rebecca & Adam

“Everyone loves our wedding photographs! Especially us! We love all the little moments that Mike captured, like the best man stroking a cat, Tom laughing in the middle of crying because his auntie told him a joke or Kirsty’s mum trying to Irish dance – All the little moments you want captured for a life time. Mike was a dream to work with and he went above and beyond for us, whether it was reminding us to enjoy the moment and not worry about how our guests would get to the reception venue or making sure Kirsty had a mirror to catch the first glimpse of herself in her wedding dress. Mike struck the perfect balance between blending in behind the scenes and helping us capture the photos we wanted just at the right times. We decided to book Mike as we saw him at work at a friends wedding and he seemed really good, they told us he would be very accommodating to our needs, which he was! We also really liked the style of his photos and knew we wanted that kind of style!” Kirsty & Tom

“Just a quick note to say thank you again for our beautiful photos. We’ve had lots of comments from our guests that you’re one of the best wedding photographers they’ve come across – so professional and discrete! The relaxed style of the photos is exactly what we wanted and we think they captured our day brilliantly. We’ll definitely be recommending you to others!” Steph & Craig

“I just wanted to email you and say thank you so much for our bloody amazing photographs! We love them so much, can’t believe how attractive you made us look! You were a star on the day, you made me and Chris feel so at ease, we enjoyed our day so much, and you are a part of why we did, so thank you. A friend of ours has already asked about your details, as she loves your photos so much, and is getting married next year! I passed them on of course. It is a testament to your work, that I completely forgot you were there at some points, as I find it hard to be natural in front of a camera, and I love how you captured the humour of the day, which is what we are all about…I feel like we didn’t stop laughing all day. Anyway, this is going on a bit now, so one more time, thank you, thank you, thank you for your incredible work. I am so chuffed that we have an amazing tangible way to remember the day.” Lorna & Chris

“Thankyou so much for the photos. They are better than we could have ever imagined, they’ve captured every part of our big day in such a beautiful and natural way. We absolutely love them all! I can’t wait to see the album eek! Your photos are a work of art, you are so talented and such a genuine person. It was such a pleasure to have you at our wedding.” Mark & Lauren

“Thank you so much for our gorgeous photographs, we love them and it’s really taken us back to the day! The field and the woodland area turned out so beautifully – I got home from the wedding with a muddy dress and it was totally worth it! We are not the most comfortable around the camera (could you tell..?!) but you have managed to make us look great! After spending months pouring over wedding blogs (mainly Kate!) our photos are by far the best we’ve ever seen, although we might be a little bit biased! We absolutely love the ones in the field – it was well worth going back for a second shoot as the light is amazing! The emotion captured in the church and at the speeches is fabulous too and our friends and family are almost as in love with the photos as us! It’s very special to have all our closest friends and family captured for eternity! Thank you again for everything – we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to other couples looking for a wedding photographer, and will be singing your praises for a long time to come!” Kate & Lee

“Wow!… what beautiful shots! I’m speechless! I can’t thank you enough for doing these shots for us, and for the speedy turnaround with them! We had such a special time on Sunday, we both feel a lot more relaxed about the actual wedding day now and these photos will look lovely dotted around our house in the meantime before the big day! You truly are a super talented man – thank you so much!” Nicola and Daniel

“The most important element of our wedding planning was finding a photographer to capture everything so we could relax and enjoy ourselves, safe in the knowledge that it was all being documented. We met Mike after searching for fine art photographers on Instagram. Once we’d seen his work and the albums he can create after the wedding, we booked him for the party straight away. After looking into photographers in Lombok and realising it would be an equal cost to have Mike there, we agreed for him to cover both events. Mike promised to have all the photos ready in a slide show for the party which was only a few days after he returned to the UK from the trip and he did not disappoint. There were many tears as our family and friends watched the day unfold starting with a casual walk on the beach, to having massages, getting ready then the wedding unfolding. The following day we took a boat around the Gili islands and Mike photographed us snorkelling and swimming with turtles using underwater camera equipment especially purchased for the trip. Mike’s photography is so understated. It felt natural being photographed by him and he blended into the wedding and the party perfectly. The build up to both was stressful but Mike was seamless to work with. He captured everything so well and the best thing about it was that the emotions we felt on the wedding day shine through in every picture. We couldn’t have hoped for a better photographer and person to capture the whole event and we are so excited to see the pictures from the party. Mike is a true gem and I would recommend him to any bride.” Raana & Rich

“Mike’s brides and grooms looked really relaxed and it became clear when chatting to Mike that he was the reason why! On the day of the wedding Mike arrived early and then promptly set about being as unobtrusive as possible – to the point that some of our guests commented that they never noticed we had a photographer! We even felt comfortable to have some extra portrait shots and gather family for the group photos we thought we didn’t want! After the wedding, I must admit I had a few doubts about whether things had gone to plan – call it post-wedding blues – until our photos arrived! Words cannot describe how pleased we are with our photos of the day! He gave us a perfect mix of intimate portraits, stunning landscapes, photos of our reception space looking beautiful and most importantly our guests having a blast! The nearest anyone has come to describing Mike’s talent was my father ‘I knew you’d picked the right man for the job when I saw the first photo of the reception space – If he can make my shed look as good as a ballroom then you’re sorted!’.” Ceri Radcliffe-Owen
