Hyde Bank Farm Wedding Photography
A magical day was had by all at this Hyde Bank Farm wedding complete with traditional garden games, dinosaurs and a Donkey!
This special day started for me just a few minutes from home, with both bridal and groom preparations taking place in Chorlton, Manchester. As both bride and groom were getting ready so close to each other, it provided me with plenty of opportunities to capture some great shots.
A rustic rural setting
It was then off to Hyde Bank Farm for the wedding ceremony and the rest of the day’s events. Hyde Bank Farm is a beautiful family-run farm set in the Cheshire countryside. It’s buildings date back to 1655. The grade 2 listed sandstone barn was to be the venue for the marriage celebrations.
A personal touch
The rustic exposed stone walls and wooden beams replete with fairy lights and chandeliers provided a perfect backdrop for the service. The room for the wedding reception was stunning and the table settings complete with golden dinosaurs, fortune telling fish and personalised popcorn really added a personal touch to the day’s events.
Traditional Garden Games
Thankfully the rain did not dampen the spirits of any of the wedding party. The beautiful gardens were the setting for plenty of traditional garden games. There was Hook a Duck, Hoopla and Tin Can Alley but the highlight was definitely the sack race. This was definitely not one just for the kids!
A special mention should also go to Freddie the Donkey who had his own wedding breakfast of carrots from the happy couple. The guests were also very well fed by a whole table of wedding cakes provided by Dish and Spoon of Didsbury, Manchester.
The rural charm of this Hyde Bank Farm wedding with all of the personal touches and garden games made for a fantastic day to remember.
