King Street Townhouse Wedding Photography | Louisa & Chris
I had a blast at Louisa & Chris’ stunning springtime wedding at King Street Townhouse in Manchester city centre.
Manchester – Industrial chic
I love shooting weddings in my adopted home city of Manchester. The urban architecture, harking back to its industrial heritage, is apparent all over the city. It provided a beautiful backdrop for this happy couples day.
King Street Townhouse is part of the Eclectic Hotels group of stylish and unique hotels in the Manchester area. I have had the pleasure of shooting weddings at all of the hotels in the group and each venue has its own unique quirks. The Italian Renaissance building dates back to 1872 and merges history and modernity perfectly for a stylish and chic wedding.
A beautiful burst of colour
I spent the morning with Louisa and her bridal party in the hotel taking snaps before the big event. I knew from the outset that this was going to be a vibrant and stylish day after seeing the beautiful daffodil yellow flower girl dresses hanging in the room. This nod to the season was apparent throughout the whole wedding. From the bride’s bouquet through to the groom and groomsmen’s buttonholes to the table decorations. The pop of colour really lit up the room and the photographs.
Urban architecture in its best light
After a beautiful and intimate ceremony, I headed out with the couple into the city centre to take a few snaps. We headed to Manchester Town Hall, another architectural beauty brimming with character. It was then back to the 6th floor of the hotel for the drinks reception on the terrace. Manchester is not known for its abundance of sun but the weather was kind to us and the rooftops of the city looked resplendent from our privileged vantage point.
There were plenty of tears and laughter during the speeches before a wonderful evening of dancing brought this sunny springtime King Street Townhouse wedding in Manchester to a close.
