Knowsley Hall Wedding Photography
Hidden Treasure
Many wedding venues try hard to look the part, going for a particular look or style, but they don’t need to try hard at Knowsley Hall. It’s owned by, and has previously been the home of, the Earl of Derby since it was built in 1495. So as you can imagine it’s filled to the brim with effortless opulence. The furniture and paintings are all cherished antiques and help to make this Grade II building feel quite royal! Knowsley Safari Park is part of the same private walled estate with its some 2500 acres of beauty within Merseyside.
The rooms on offer inside really have the wow factor, the state dining room is just stunning and the stucco ballroom will take your breath away. It was such a pleasure to shoot wedding photography here, the light coming through the tall windows was just perfect. It really did help make natural photos that look awesome. From the green drawing room and library, through to the Jacobean room.
Wedding Photography at Knowsley Hall
As soon as I drove up to the front of the building I was drawn to just snap pictures of everything I saw. I love shooting all kinds of weddings and my primary focus is always the people, but it does help when the setting is worth photographing in itself. This can make some great extra shots to help tell the story of where you got married too. Sarah and Darren had such a relaxed and fun day. My task was just to mingle through the wedding with my cameras and photograph things as they happened, a documentary style of wedding photography. The large rooms at Knowsley Hall help to set the scene for a very romantic marriage indeed. I thought Sarah looked stunning and really made this Knowsley Hall Wedding Photography look so classic.
